📨 Which message types are supported?

You can delete messages from channels, private channels, threads and direct messages.

🧵 How do I delete threaded messages?

Open the threads panel.
Start the deletion process.
Threaded messages will be deleted automatically.

💬 How can I delete others' messages from DMs (direct messages)?

You can't. Slack doesn't allow it. This is a limitation imposed by Slack that applies even to the native Slack interface (web, desktop and mobile apps).

⏸️ Messages stopped being deleted, what should I do?

If no relevant messages are visible on the screen, scroll to a suitable position (up or down) so the deletion process can continue with newly loaded messages.

🏁 How do I deal with "Too many requests" error?

Slack is throttling the deletion process. Wait a few minutes and try again.

🚨 What should I do if it doesn't work?

Message deleter for Slack 3.0 might be colliding with other Chrome extensions. There are 2 ways to fix it. Try them in this order:

Disable other extensions and reload Slack.
Create fresh new Chrome profile with no other extensions, install Message Deleter for Slack 3.0 into it and log in to Slack.

If none of the above works, try installing previous version: Message Deleter for Slack 2.0.
